CLASSIC RETRO 1960'S SPEEDBOAT BROOM SATURN I bought this superb Broom speed boat with the intension of putting her in the water but I have too many projects and she has to go. Classic Broom design, she has a very good original hull and good top deck(painted) although there have been a few small access holes cut for pipes/ steering etc near the stern and a small crack on the top left inner cockpit panel(see photo 4 just below steel frame on left). The transum area is solid and the original floor is good. The original seats are clean and useable and the floor is partly carpeted. There is no steering wheel but the steering rack and teleflex cable are there and work fine, there are a number instruments in the dash including rev, speed, temp and a speed sensor at the back. There is an unusual very well made stainless steel wrap around side rail/roll cage frame fixed to the top deck, it looks professionaly made and I have not seen one like this before and gives it a unique look. The trailer is basic but suits the hull, tows OK but could do with mudguards. The winner will need to bring a light board and ropes/tie down straps but that's all. Add an engine, fuel and a steering wheel and you could be on the water or restore her to her former glory(what I wanted to do).
