This Broom 30 foot was manufactured in Brundle, Norfolk in 1973. This lovely SIX BERTH example has been cherished by the same family for 39 years having spent that time cruising much of the Thames. The previous owner kept her from new on the Norfolk Broads. The Classic Broom 30 was designed as a river and coastal waters cruiser to which she is well suited. The well designed accommodation makes her an excellent bachelor/bachelorette “live-aboard” with cabins fore and aft separated by the main saloon and galley. So complete privacy fore and aft is assured. The Forward Cabin has 2 single bunks with the ability to bridge-the-gap and make a very large double bed. The cabin has its own wash basin and toilet with single wardrobe and dressing shelf. The Aft Cabin has 2 single bunks and a very attractive dressing table unit with mirror and a single wardrobe. This cabin has its own adjacent toilet, washbasin and shower. The Centre Cabin/Main Saloon has an L-shaped seating unit (pulls out to make a further double bed) opposite which is an attractive sideboard with cupboards and a wine rack (very important !!) In the ceiling is a full size slide-back Webasto Sunroof. A step down and heading aft from the main saloon is the galley with gas/electric fridge and a two burner gas hob and oven unit. Good sized sink and drainer, above which is a wall mounted on-demand gas water heater. Cruising control is from a fully instrumented Centre Console in the Main Saloon or from a fully instrumented Flybridge. The Top Deck (Flybridge) has 2 swivel Captains Chairs with plenty of space aft on the top deck for 4 folding chairs. So top deck can accommodate six adults to enjoy those sunny cruising days. TECHNICAL DETAILS. Twin Perkins 4/108 (40hp each) inboard normally aspirated diesels. (very economical) 60 gallon Potable water tank Hot and Cold running water in fore and aft cabin bathrooms and galley sink. Kelvin Hughes Warm Air Central Heating to all areas. FM Radio/CD Player and a free standing Toshiba TV (with separate digital aerial), plus a Ship-to-Shore VHF Radio. Depth Gauge. Carbon Monoxide Detector and separate Calor/Propane Gas Detector. Two 100ah engine batteries and one 100ah domestic (leisure) battery plus a spare 100ah battery. Two 15kg Calor Gas Bottles. Full Size Winter Cover (see photo) Boat Safety Certificate expires 30/4/23 River Licence expires 31/12/19 Boat Mooring expires 31/3/20. MOORING IS AT BRAY MARINA on the Thames (between Maidenhead and Windsor) and conveniently situated just minutes from the M4 Motorway. Bray Marina has full craning facilities if you require a lift for hull inspection/survey, etc. Thank you for looking.

1x Boat Share On The Norfolk Broads – Lightning 43ft 7 Berth Cabin Cruiser

1x full 8% share giving 4 weeks per year for life. Allocated holiday dates are below, more to be added at our annual AGM every October. All are swappable with current members by consent. All fees are up to date. Full Share 2 (£6500 negotiable)29/09/201930/11/201907/03/202004/07/202003/10/2020LIGHTNING is very well known on the Norfolk Broads and the syndicate has been running since 2008. LIGHTNING is shared by a group of fastidious owners and is maintained to a very high standard and she is kept at her mooring at Broom Boats in Brundall, Norfolk NR13 5PX. This is a self managed syndicate and is therefore not subject to any 3rd party overheads. Management is by two elected officers – a Chairman and a Treasurer. This is a JOINT OWNERSHIP arrangement and not a commercial or profit making operation in any way whatsoever. This means that you will become a member of a group of like minded people making joint decisions on the running of the boat and what investments are made in future. An 8% share will give you at least one week in each of the seasons Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. The maximum all up costs are around £1600 per year per full share for your four week allocation. (This covers everything including winter maintenance and any agreed capital expenditure – these figures are often not quoted with some other syndicates – which can make the costs look artificially low) This equates to only one week on a similar hire-boat. As an example a similar boat ‘Jasmine Emblem’ from Horning Ferry Marina is more than £1600 per week in the high season compared with around £400 per week on Lightning. Over the last few years LIGHTNING has been subject to a number of upgrades. New engine, gearbox, LED lighting, and upgraded electrics now make her arguably the fastest and technically most up to date in her class. Every year she goes back into water better than the year before. LIGHTNING is on the rivers for around 44 weeks a year so if you are on the Norfolk Broads then there is a good chance you will see her. All our members are friendly people who will gladly show you around our lovely boat so all you need to do is ask! Classic Broom Speedboat

| Broom Boats | August 18, 2019

Current Price – ?1395.00
More Info

This is a very attractive Classic Broom speedboat in good condition for its age. The interior of the boat is in good condition with no rips or tears and, as can be seen from the photos, is a credit to its previous owner. It comes complete with an electric start Johnson 40hp engine which has been converted from oil injection to pre-mix to avoid the possibility of the oil injection system failing. It is also supplied with a trailer and would be fitted with a new battery prior to sale. Please do not press “buy it now” unless you are definitely going ahead with the purchase. I would remind you that doing so enters you into a legally binding contract and I will follow this up.

Broom Saturn Speedboat & Refurbished Trailer – Repainted With Many New Parts

| Broom Boats | August 16, 2019

Current Price – ?0.99
More Info

This 1970’s Broom Saturn and trailer has just undergone extensive restoration. The Broom Saturn has a fully repainted hull and superstructure in Marine Green and White gloss. The interior has been completely flow coated (This is Gel coat effectively with wax added so it will cure). The stainless steel fair leads and rear cleats are brand new and only just fitted. The steering helm, cable and splash well mounting tube are brand new and have just been fitted. The boat has just been completely reupholstered with green faux leather and this was placed onto new 6mm marine ply which was sealed with polyester resin for extra longevity. The trailer has just had new wheels and tyres added and has also undergone a full paint job. It features an Indespension torsion suspension axle. The jockey wheel is brand new.The photos do not show this but it has also new support side rollers installed and additional extra rollers, these are all included in the sale and will be fitted when the auction closes. These additional parts are all brand new too. Viewing is highly recommended of this much sought after locally made Broom Saturn classic. The boat can be viewed at Wayford Bridge boat yard, NR12 9LL and I am there most days but I would suggest texting in advance, 07392 990 306. There is not an outboard included with this Broom Saturn, it is the boat and trailer as they appear in the photos. I am selling the boat as I have other boat projects taking priority. To complete this Broom boat it requires seats and a windscreen. Everything else is ether brand new or freshly refurbished and effectively the boat is ready to be used. Cash on collection and item is to be collected within 24 hours of close of auction please.
