Classic 17ft Broom Jupiter speedboat. This boat has had a comprehensive, from the ground up re-build. Alpha one out drive re-built with new bearings and seals.Full set of bellows, new water pump. Engine is a Mercruiser 140 3.0ltr Re-built with a new cylinder block, restored to virtually as new throughout. Cream and navy interior seating and trim renewed professionally. New Chesapeak instruments, and a stylish steering wheel.Fuel tank removed, cleaned, and re-fitted. Rear deck re-built and finished with faux teak. Comes with a breaked trailer, which has a full set of new tyres and roller system conversion, with new tow hitch. Included with the boat and trailer are a set of life jackets, anchor, and a stainless steel propeller. This has been a much loved fresh water boat except for two days on the Dorset coast in 2019. The death of my dear wife is the reason for sale, and as my son has recently purchased a larger boat, I can enjoy being a passenger now. This boat is great fun and goes really well, we’ve had up to 5 people onboard, it always gets lots of admiring comments when I take it out. Please only make an offer if you have the money, want this great boat and have the means to collect. 1972 BROOM GEMINI CLASSIC SPEED BOAT WITH OUTBOARD AND TRAILER Recently restored great little speed boat from the renowned and collectable manufacturer Broom boats of Brundall Norfolk who are well known for their boat design and half million pound motor yachts. In original purple and white gel coat with original purple broom stripe to side. Some age related scratches to the hull but this has to be expected for the age. Racing stripes to the deck with Deep Purple name decal. Age correct chrome rimmed instruments which are not wired up as I use a boat app on my phone for speed, position etc which is alot more accurate but guages could be re-commitioned if required. New Nauticus Trim Tabs fitted last week which really aid handling and low speed getting up onto the plane, they also improve fuel consumption. These boats are well known for their classic lines and great handling. A very light boat on the trailer so easily launched and retrieved from the slipway. Yamaha Autolube 25 hp outboard, Recentley serviced, Runs like a little two stroke ouboard should instantly high reving when called for with easy starting either from the battery or from the pull start. The 25 hp outboard is ideal for 5mph broads day boat cruising when 4 are aboard but can push this boat well and zip along at a good rate of notts if required with one or two aboard when and where the speed limit permits. Boat interior fully refurbished with teak effect board flooring and marine carpet to the sides. New fromt bucket seats and re covered back seat. Storage area under the deck at the front of the boat. Boat comes with fenders & back board for the trailer. 5 gal Quicksilver fuel tank with guage, new fuel line and two stroke oil all ready to go. Galvanised super snipe trailer with good tires and new hitch. Boat comes with rain cover for storage. The only thing to mention is a the hull has been patched with a small 4″ x 4″ repair that was done some years ago before I owned the boat and looks as if it was proffessionally done at the time and does not effect the hull of the boat and cant bee seen unless you look directly under the boat. The radio has speakers fitted but and an aerial but I have not got round to wiring it up. Dont miss out on your chance to own a very desirable piece of the purple 70s and a beautiful little fun boat. 1972/73 Broom Scorpio Deluxe MkII – with a 1996 Evinrude 70hp 2-stroke outboard engine complete with 5 years service history – last serviced May 2021. Electric start, tilt & trim. Overall in good used condition with a few scratches to the cowling and chips in the skeg She sits on a 2016 extreme 750kg super roller swing beam 24 roller trailer (bought from new, now costs nearly £2K) This beautiful boat has been refurbished over the last 5 / 6 years and is only for sale now due to the wife not letting me keep 2 boats!
