Here for sale is my Stars & Stripes Mastercraft prostar 190 ski boat, it is a 1987 model in not too condition at the moment . It has been a family boat owned by us for the last 15 years, I bought it from Tallington Lakes , fresh water use only of course Its an ideal winter project, with plenty of TLC this boat will go on and and on and still would be worth 3.5 or 4 thousand pounds back in good condition, at this age the value doesn’t change from year to year I have further reduced the reserve price to hopefuly sell the boat this time around The engine is the Chevy block marinised by Mercruiser , reputed to be the best The trailer has had new wheel bearings & the brakes were refurbished a few years ago The boat was fitted to run on gas about 5 years ago and runs great, you don't have to remove the seat to read gauge on the 100ltre gas tank. The exhaust pipe work was recently replaced as they were the originals and showing signs of perishing The engine needs to be seen to be appreciated and runs sweet, a new steering cable was fitted a few years ago & a newer style throttle control & a starter motor I replaced the mastercraft decals and stars just a few years ago & the engine cover was re covered just few years ago & is good All the gauges work, she has great oil pressure and doesn’t use any oil, the gear box runs quietly & has never been a problem I am an engineer and have carried out most of the servicing and repairs as I have more faith in my own skills and diligence than most mechanics out there It has been a great boat but I have spent the last few years working abroad & now the family have grown up and have no interest The boat has been in storage for 3 years & therefore will need carefully bringing back to life. Hours on odometer 1150. I still have all the original paperwork from new, including the handbook & import documentation It has to be sold as seen as its going to be impossible to test it on a lake Bad bits: Although sound, the boat is in poor condition & needs a lot of TLC It has no proper cover ( tarpaulin at the moment ) All the seat covers need re upholstery & the drivers' seat needs repairing before re covering The trailer needs a new winch & jockey wheel generally repairing & making good The wooden floor needs mending or even replacing I have patched it up with some new wood & fibregalss new carpets will be needed too if you want it to look good again inside The hull fiberglass has no serious cracks but some filler in the gelcoat here and there make her look better & extend the hull life on the upper part of the body work there are some fine cracks in the outer skin that occurr because of sunlight ( like spider webbs ) but they could be filled too I have been as transparent as possible with this sale as I don't want any post sales conflicts , to buy a Mastercraft like this at a bargain price & turn it round to a 3.4 - 4K boat is a rare opportunity , but as its not been run for a few years it will need some repair time & possible some new parts ( not that I am aware of anything as we speak ) Payment Cash only & the boat has to be bought as seen
